These thin-cut pieces of natural stone are perfect for laser cutting or engraving and can be used as is or adhered to acrylic, wood, or other surfaces. Ideal for creating elegant wedding signs, custom home decor, and more, MakerStone Sheets bring the raw beauty of nature into your designs.

Our Black MakerStone Sheets mimic the look and feel of black slate. The sheets are shades of black mixed with dark gray and brown undertones. The real stone texture provides added dimension and can create areas of contrasting color.

Please Note: As with any natural stone, variations in color, texture, and finish are to be expected. The stone’s surface may have chips or uneven areas, and no two sheets are identical due to the organic nature of the slabs they are milled from. The backside of each sheet will have bumps and imperfections, which is an inherent characteristic of stone material. These variations are not defects.

Recommended Settings

Posted settings are recommendations only. For best results, it is recommended you attempt a small test area before moving forward with a larger design. Results may vary on each machine due to a variety of factors such as machine type, age, and maintenance. 

Recommended Glowforge Setting: 150 Speed 100 Power for cutting and 320 Speed and 10 power for engraving.
Recommended 60w Setting: 10 Speed/40 Power

Recommended 120w Setting: 20 Speed 35 Power

We offer FREE shipping on orders of $100 or more for orders shipping to the lower 48 states. Alaska and Hawaii orders of $150 or more will ship for FREE. To qualify for free shipping your order must be the free shipping amount or more before taxes and after discounts are applied. Most orders with free shipping will ship via UPS Ground, however, we reserve the right to choose the shipping courier that is best suited for your order. We ship with UPS, FedEx, and USPS. Please Note FedEx will automatically require a signature for ANY order OVER $500.00

For orders under $100, we calculate shipping based on your order weight and delivery address. Our preferred shipping courier is UPS as we notice they have fewer delays and treat packages better.

Large Sheets: At this time acrylic sheet sizes 24"x35" or larger only qualify for free shipping in the U.S. lower 48 states. We are unable to ship these large sheets outside of the lower 48 states.

International Orders: For orders outside the U.S. shipping is calculated based on your address and order. Please note that any assessed duties or local taxes are not included in this rate and are the responsibility of the receiver.

Shipping Cut Off Times: Orders containing all in-stock items placed before 3 PM CST will ship the same business day. Custom orders or orders containing on-order items will ship as soon as the item arrives in our warehouse. Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays are handled on the Monday or the business day after. (Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays). You can split your order by adding our "Split Order Fee". This will allow all in-stock items to ship the same business day, any items not in stock will ship as soon as they become in stock.

Delayed or Lost Orders: While our team works hard to ensure all orders go out on time, we cannot take responsibility for delays caused by the courier.  USPS does not guarantee Priority Mail estimated delivery dates, and UPS/FedEx does not guarantee Ground delivery dates. We are unable to dispatch a replacement until a shipping claim has been opened and the package has been declared lost by the shipping courier. If you believe your package is lost, please e-mail info@houstonacrylic.com to start the claim with the shipping courier.  Make sure to include your order number in your e-mail.

Cancel Orders
If you wish to cancel your order, please e-mail info@houstonacrylic.com with your name and order number. Please note, not all order cancelation requests are able to be honored, as our team works hard to ensure orders are shipped the same business day. We do charge a 3% fee for cancellations to account for the credit card processing fees we are not refunded on these order.  If your order is already fulfilled, we reserve the right to charge a 10% restocking fee. 

MakerStone Sheets are CO2 laser-safe stone veneers. They are made with real stone and backed with a laser-safe fiberglass and resin compound. The backside of each sheet will have bumps and imperfections, which is an inherent characteristic of the material. These variations are not defects and the coloring of each backing may vary. The backing may feel sticky upon contact. Prolonged exposure to the fiberglass backing may cause skin irritation or itching. It is recommended users wear appropriate protection when handling. This material is best suited for projects where it adheres to another surface and the backing of the stone sheet is not featured.

 

MakerStone sheets may produce a more recognizable odor when cutting. Before handling MakerStone make sure your laser and workshop has proper ventilation and air assist.

Flex glue such as Loctite Extreme Glue, E6000, or a spray adhesive is recommended when bonding MakerStone sheets to other surfaces. Adhesive sheets can be used but different adhesive sheets may result in a better bond. We do not recommend using DualTite adhesive sheets for this material.
