Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, our acrylic sheets come with either a paper masking or a plastic film to protect them during storage and transit. The type of masking is listed on each product page.
While we do our best to ensure the masking stays intact, it is not guaranteed—minor lifting or tearing can occasionally occur during transit. If you receive a sheet with damaged masking, we recommend removing it before lasering.
Many of our customers choose to leave the paper masking on while cutting or engraving. However, if your sheet has a plastic film, we suggest removing it and applying a paper masking before use.
No, the sheets you order will not have rounded corners.
Our product photos feature a 3"x3" sample piece that has been laser cut from a full-size sheet to demonstrate how the material cuts and engraves. The rounded corners and engraved "HA" logo are specific to these samples only.
Pieces purchased from Houston Acrylic will be labeled for easy identification but will not include the "HA" engraving and will have standard saw-cut corners unless otherwise noted.
No, we do not apply adhesive to the materials you purchase.
However, we do offer sheets of 3M adhesive and DualTite adhesive that you can purchase separately and apply yourself. These options are laser-safe and commonly used in crafting and signage projects.
If you're unsure which adhesive is right for your project or need tips on how to apply it, our team is always happy to help with recommendations.
We include tested laser settings on each product page based on the machines we’ve used in-house.
If you don’t see your specific laser listed—no worries! We also have a Settings Database where customers share the settings that have worked for them using various machines and materials. It’s a great resource for finding starting points tailored to your setup.
